A unique opportunity to learn the printing methods of artist HN Werkman who developed his own avant garde typographic style using lead type, rollers and stencils.
Werkman was a famous printer/artist from the city of Groningen who belonged to the avant garde movement in the twenties and published a renowned magazine, 'The Next Call'. During the Second World War he collaborated with the publishing company, De Blauwe Schuit, and printed anti war books and leaflets. A few weeks before the liberation of Groningen he was executed.
You will take away your own designs using the Werkman method on paper.
